Second Time Around (2ndTA) were formed in 2009 seeing James and Tina as a duo act performing early blues and jazz standards, folk tunes and some self penned material, with Tina on vocals and rhythm guitar and James on guitar, mandolin and harmonica duties.
During the Autumn of 2010 Second Time Around invited aboard John, broadening the spectrum of their sound with some fine guitar finger-picking, a bag full of inventive chords and driving mandola.
Vocally Tina and John’s warm harmonies compliment each other and along with James’ inventive multi-instrumental talents, play an eclectic and inspired mix of ‘20s and ‘30s jazz, rootsy blues sounds and good-time contemporary folk, blending home-brewed songs with some more well known numbers and a few tunes thrown in for good measure!
